BIRTHDAY CARD: Mama Elephant - Little Elephant Agenda & Sweetie Bag

Hi everyone! For today's birthday card, I channeled my inner Laura Bassen. I have some lovely stripes in the background inspired by her. For the images, I went for the adorable agenda images from Mama Elephant. And yes, I have created a shaker card! I am really happy with how this card turned out, it wasn't a walk in the park... believe me...

I started by creating an adorable cupcake using the dies from the Sweetie Bag from Mama Elephant. Therefor, I used my favorite (discontinued 😢) card stock by MFT and adorable shaker material by Dress My Crafts. Next, I colored some adorable elephants from the Little Elephant Agenda stamp set by Mama Elephant using my copic markers (combination listed below). Next, I used the matching dies to die cut them out. I also used a white gelly roll pen to add some highlight on top of the eyes from the critters. 

  • Pink: R22, R20, R00
  • Yellow: Y35, Y21, Y00
  • Elephant: W4, W2,W1 / E13 E11

For the background, I struggled. I actually had to surgically remove everything from a "failed" card. That aside, I created a fun panel channeling Laura Bassen. To have a nice edge, I took the Nesting Deckle A2 die from Hello Bluebird. Having a new background panel, I could again start adhering everything to a card base. I am so happy with how this card turned out (in the end). I hope it can inspire you xxx
