Waffle Flower April 2023 Release and Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends! Today's blog is part of the Waffle Flower April Release Blog Hop! I am so excited to be part of this release along with the incredible Design Team from Waffle Flower and to be able to show you these amazing new products. Make sure to check it all out on the Waffle Flower website! Enjoy each stop in today’s blog hop, get inspired, have fun and take a chance to win some of these new release goodies!

This blog contains three cards featuring some of the amazing products that will be available with this release (a video with the whole process will be available as soon as possible).

My first card features the beautiful new Tiny Crosses Texture Die from Waffle Flowers. This simple but interesting background die can help you with any card you need! I created a love themed card with it. I die cut this background out of pink card stock. Next, I took the A2 Layers Die from Waffle Flowers to cut it to the perfect rectangle (slightly smaler than A2)

To help me with my sentiment, I used the Cutaway Alpha Die from Waffle Flowers. After die cutting the sentiment out of the background panel, I took the hearts from the Window Trio 2 Die from Waffle Flowers and cut it out of 2 colored card stocks and vellum. Combining them together let to a lovely heart detail on top of my card.

For my second card, I used the Duo-tone Butterfly Stencil Duo from Waffle Flowers. After ink blending them on top of white card stock, I used the A2 Layers Die from Waffle Flowers to cut it to the perfect rectangle (slightly smaler than A2).

To go behind this colorful panel, I took some bright pink card stock (same as one of the colors I used to ink blend). To add some subtle details, I also die cut the butterflies from the Window Trio 2 Die from Waffle Flowers out of vellum. I added them across the ink blended panel. I finished this card off by adding a wonderful sentiment from the Fluttering By Sentiments and Matching Die from Waffle Flower and some embellishments.

My final card features the Pop-up Butterflies Panel Die from Waffle Flower. I die cut this background out of white card stock. Next, I took the A2 Layers Die from Waffle Flowers to cut it to the perfect rectangle (slightly smaler than A2). I decided to elevate all of the wings so that we could see underneath.

To go behind the panel, I created my own patterned paper by adding several strips of colored and glitter card stock next to each other. After trimming it to size, I assembled everything on top of a card base. For the sentiment, I used the Fluttering By Sentiments and Matching Die from Waffle Flower. I added some more colored card stock behind the die cut sentiment before adhering it to the card.
