CHRISTMAS CARD: Mama Elephant - Fuzzy Hugs Penguins

My third card for this stamp set for #thedailymarker30day #coloringchallenge on Instagram. 


I started by stamping out my penguins from the Fuzzy Hugs from Mama Elephant onto Neenah 110 lb Solar White Card Stock using River Rock Ink from Lawn Fawn. Next, I colored them in using my copic markers (listed below). Afterwards, I trimmed them out using my Scan&Cut from Brother. 


Next, I die cut a panel of Strathmore Bristol 110lb (Neenah would have been my preferred card stock, but I took the "wrong" one, it worked out however) with the Basic Rectangles from Mama Elephant. Then, I cut out a window using the Basic Circles from Mama Elephant. To give the penguins some grounding, I added some shading to create the ground using W0 and W1.

Then I continued with my sky for behind the window. Therefore, I took a piece of Neenah 110 lb Solar White Card Stock and I blended Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink on top. I spritzed some water on top of it and dried it with a paper towel. 


Next, I stamped out the Frosty Flurries from Sunny Studio using Versamark Clear Embossing Ink. Afterwards, I heat set Nuvo Embossing Powder - Glacier White on top of it. I decided to adhere this panel behind the rectangle by using Darice Foam Strips (which fits perfectly behind the grid from the window). After doing that, I adhered the penguins using Lawn Fawn Liquid Glue. 

Before adding the details, I added this panel on top of an (American) card base, using some more Darice Foam Strips. And then I finished everything by adding Glossy Accents to the heart and Stickles Diamonds to the hat.
