BIRTHDAY CARD: Simon Says Stamp - Outline Leaves Background & Create A smile - Happy Birthday

Hello everyone! I made a birthday card a while back, but didn't have the time to add it to my blog. So, I am catching up! 

I started with taking a piece of watercolor paper. On top I stamped the Outline Leaves Background (Cling Stamp) from Simon Says Stamp with VersaMark Clear Embossing Ink. Next, I heat embossed Clear Embossing Powder from Ranger on top of it. 

I added a small amount on top of this pannel from the Nuvo Shimmer Powder: Lilac Waterfall and spritst some water on top of it. I repeated this step until I was happy (to get this soft effect, try to add only small amounts onto the paper). As soon as I was happy, I set it aside to dry. When this was totally dry, I used the Cloud Nine frame from Mama Elephant to get a more finished effect of the pannel.

Next, I took the Cool Cuts Birthday and Happy from Create A Smile. From both dies, I cut out 3 pieces out of the same watercolor paper. One of each piece was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker 027 Dark Pink to match the background. Next, I adhered all the pieces together. I centered them on top of the pannel and adhered them using Gina K. Designs Connect Glue. Next, I added some Glossy Accent on top of it. 

I adhered this pannel onto an (American) card base. To finish the card, I added some embellishments from Little Things from Lucy's Cards: Crystal Collection - Tinkerbell with some Gina K. Designs Connect Glue.
