BIRTHDAY CARD: Mama Elephant Friends: Challenge #1: Female + Birthday

Hello everyone! I am happy to share my creation for Challenge #1 of the Facebook group 'Mama Elephant Friends'. This is my take on a Female Birthday card. How did I create this card?

I started by taking a piece of Neenah 110 lb Solar White Card Stock and run that through my Big Shot with the the biggest rectangle from the Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. This way a beautiful border was created.

Afterwards, I placed this pannel into my stamping buddy. I laid out the Sticky Notes stamp from Mama Elephant in the middle and stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Afterwards I added 'Remember' and 'Happy B-day' as well. To make sure that I had no overlap when stamping the cats on the post-it, I made a mask and applied it unto the stamped figure before stamping the cats.

When everything was stamped out, it was time to colour the images. For the post-its, I used E00 and E02, the cats are colored with W9 + W7 and W6 + W4. The pie is a combination of E43 and RV21 + RV13. When this was all colored I decided to ad a background by using small stamps from Little Bear Agenda from Mama Elephant, together with 'don't forget' from the Sticky Notes stamp set. At the end I decided to colour all the heart with R35 + R39.

The finish the card, I added the pannel to an (American) card base with a Permanent Pritt Roller.
